Last week, we hosted the Dairy Cow Welfare Rotation as part of our Saputo Dairy Care Program. 10 students from 4 Canadian Veterinary Schools participated including students from OVC, AVC, WCVM, U of Montreal.
Dr. George Stilwell from the University of Lisbon gave an insightful talk on Farm Animal Welfare Assessment and Certification in Europe! This was a great opportunity for Canadian DVM students to learn about international welfare practices and future challenges in their work!
