Congratulations to Lea Nicklas who was awarded the Blair-Curtis-Pfleiderer-Wachter Award at the 41st International Winter Workshop on Clinical, Chemical, and Biochemical Aspects of Pteridines, held at the University of Innsbruck, Austria, from February 5-7, 2025.

Lea’s presentation on the topic of social stress and feather pecking behaviour and its impact on tyrosine, phenylalanine, and kynurenine concentrations in the plasma of laying hens captivated the audience but also impressed professionals working in the field of human medicine with its quality.
